Bald eagles abound as the ice retreats
NOW is the time to see Bald Eagles at large lakes in the east. The ice is going out and the birds are coming in and Bald Eagles love sitting on the remnant ice. I tallied 66 Bald Eagles at Branched Oake Lake near Lincoln this afternoon. - Joel Jorgensen, Nongame Bird Program.
Heartland Fishing is a site dedicated to the support of everyday anglers in the heartland. Our goal is to provide quality resources to anglers in Nebraska (primarily), Iowa, and Colorado regarding fishing reports, fishing techniques, lake information, resources on rules and regulations, and so on. Look to us for Nebraska fishing reports, Iowa fishing information, and possibly Colorado as well. We are here to support sport fishing of species like largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, bluegill, panfish, crappie, walleye, etc. We do not yet provide information for bullhead, catfish, carp, etc.
